ITINERARIES: COSTA SMERALDA - POLTU QUATU ORSO DIVING CENTRE
Experience a different kind of holiday, but above all, immersed in the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Costa Smeralda is now possible thanks to the presence of the Bear Diving Center Poltu Quatu, which for years has played the role of ambassador of the Emerald Seas. The center offers a series of exclusive marine excursions to better appreciate the incredible sea and its fantastic coastline thanks to its ingenious floating structure located in the well-equipped marina of Poltu Quatu, halfway between Porto Cervo and Baja Sardinia. It offers unparalleled comfort and functionality thanks to a large parking lot that facilitates the transport of equipment from the car to the base. The three boats specially structured for diving, respectively 7.50 - 9.50 and 12 meters (the latter "Orso-Cat" is a cabin cruiser with catamaran hull and two powerful engines) allow you to quickly reach the Island of Tavolara, the islands of the Archipelago of La Maddalena and the coast of Corsica between Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio with the magnificent archipelagos of Lavezzi and Cerbicali. For those, however, who do not want to do only diving there is the opportunity to experience the sea in a different way. In the morning, two excursions are organised for nature lovers with return at lunchtime: the excursion whale whatch (cetacean sighting) born a few years ago that has allowed the sighting of many dolphins that now live permanently in the area, and 12 times over 18m whales, for a total of at least 35 whales. And for the most active are proposed the excursion snorkeling & trekking during which you can admire the coasts and the most beautiful seabed of the island of Caprera, where nature is still uncontaminated. Always in the morning, the daily excursion starts Snorkeling and Relaxation in full-day in the La Maddalena Archipelago, in Corsica on board the flagship of the Orso-Cat fleet. Crossing the spectacular archipelago of La Maddalena, the excursion allows you to reach in about 45 minutes the archipelago of the longest and richest Marine Park in the Mediterranean where you will spend the day relaxing and having fun. You will visit the most beautiful views of the islands of Lavezzi, Piana and Cavallò where, between one swim and another, it will be possible to snorkel or take a test dive. In the afternoon, for the last 4 years the offer focuses on thesnorkeling excursion Caprera Tour to admire postcard views such as the mythical "Tahity" and snorkeling in the midst of clouds of wrasse.
FOUNDATIONS
Orso Diving is located just 16 miles from the island of Lavezzi and 18 miles from the island of Tavolara, offering a wide variety of diving spots between the Cerbicali Islands in Corsica and the island of Tavolara with the mouths of Bonifacio and the archipelagos of Lavezzi and La Maddalena in between. Such a wide choice allows the diving staff to always find areas sheltered from the wind where to organize interesting dives. The descents are almost always carried out near the islands on seabeds that descend over 40 meters between walls and landslides, with descents suitable for both open and experienced divers. The dives along the coasts of Corsica are spectacular and unique, where the seabed is always characterised by a large quantity of fish, such as the City of Groupers in Lavezzi, a dive that is famous all over the world for the large quantity of groupers that can be observed so closely here that you can almost touch them. But then, just as unforgettable are the dives at Pilone or along the Banco and Sperduti cliffs, where in addition to lots of resident fish such as groupers, croakers and moray eels, you are always guaranteed to see amberjacks, dentexes and barracudas. Finally, remaining always in Corsica, extraordinary are the dives near the island of Toro, in the Archipelago of Cerbicali, not to miss absolutely the Secca del Toro located about half a mile from the island, which from a platform of about 40 m. rises up to 3 meters from the surface with unspoiled seabed that show everything that the Mediterranean can offer.
